In August 2011, Martha Earned "Signature Member" status in the Pastel Society of America (PSA), the oldest existing pastel society in America. Founded in 1972 by Flora B. Giffuni, the PSA is largely responsible for the current renaissance of pastels in American art.

In May 2010, Martha earned "Signature Member" status in the Transparent Watercolor Society of America (TWSA), a respected national level organization for artists who specialize in watercolor as a transparent medium.
